Exhausted me – I had forgotten, how hard reading and researching could be. I even asked my publisher and employer for a vacation, but got a ‘No’ for now – maybe later he said. ‘Now you will finish this story for publishing’.
My eyes were more rolling than focussed, so, I was about to see an optometrist. My publisher already had glasses …
For a last time at Bath, where the greeter always makes himself heard, I entered the corner shop.
I took a closer look at the next sign on the wall. The one with the snow landscape, and then the rest of the row –
5 days covered and then a performance.
My thoughts were running and I recalled one of the visions from the crystal ball …
Well, this was the explanation:
‘A Relay For Life event is organized under a volunteer Relay Committee and implemented by volunteers. It is often organized as a multi-day public gathering, spanning all day and night in a large outdoor space, and many people bring tents and camp out around the walking tracks. Currently, almost 4 million people take part in Relay events in over 5,000 communities in the United States.’
Finally I had what I needed to complete the desired article and to make my publisher happy.
I went home for writing.
