For this event, which took place at the Britannica Show Ground, an incredible site was composed and established: 8 stages were set up, one more challenging than the other, to provide promising agent candidates with the best tools.
The skills required were: Aiming, shooting, climbing, running, swinging and gliding, with full awareness of the dangers lurking. And one shouldn’t be afraid of heights or darkness …
Arriving early, there was time to read the directions for the course, to get a splendid agent hat and to ask the Crown Prince and his nephew for a picture.
At 11:00 AM and starting time many guests and residents had arrived – that promised good for a great training.
The ACTS kiosks were lined up to support the work of the American Cancer Society and the brave agent candidates by their names.
First instructions for stage 1, the bow shooting, were given by Levi: You need to explode 5 targets before you move on. This task obviously came with the risc of backslash.
Some experience though as always helped to manage well …
Moving to stage 2, the danger on the ground became visable: Alligators!
And a fast agent candidate, who had fallen down from the rope swing – and later on this – just succeded to pass one of the dozing creatures.
Good aiming and a steady hand were prominent skills to hit the cans and bottles.
Next was to climb the hill and to run to stage 4.
At stage 4, the rope swing, many candidates had to read the instructions over again:
STAGE FOUR:
Click on the Rope and swing over to the next platform.
(click ‘stand’ to release the rope at the end of the swing – pressing the up arrow at the same time will give you an extra boost for jumping off and landing on the platform)/
If you fall off the rope and land in the swamp, run back to the wall and try again – be careful – there are alligators in the swamp…
This task turned out to be the most challenging part of the course and Levi had to come up for additional help several times. By time and training, more and more future agents figured out the tricks.
The upcoming stages 5 and 6 covered the running over the slightly demaged hanging bridge and through the tunnel towards stage 7 – all overlooked by the vulture on top of the hill.
At stage 7 gliding down to the final gate with the audience was required. Not so few of the 24 guests and residents present at 12:00 AM, were very astonished about the survival and the increasingly better times, their favorite candidates came down with.
From now on it was running and repeating the course for the candidates and after 50 minutes the board showed:
But this should not be the last state of the training. At 12:12 AM Levi fired up the competition by the words:
IF SOMEONE CAN BEAT MY TOP SCORE I WILL ADD 500 LINDENS TO THEIR KIOSK
This deserved an answer, that came from Kyle: I will beat you if i have enough runs hehe
Running for the good results commenced.
At 12:46 it was announced: AND KERI IS STILL IN THE LEAD, CLOSELY FOLLOWED BY VOODOO AND MARY….
And VOODOO never got tired to try again and to improve his result.
The gates closed and all looked at the counter board and the announcemet sounded:
IN THIRD PLACE, WE HAVE MARY LAYTON!
Huge applauds by the audience …
IN SECOND PLACE, WE HAVE VOODOO DESANTO
More applauds …
AND IN FIRST PLACE, WITH AN AMAZING TIME, WE HAVE KERI!
Clapping and applauds didn’t stop so fast …
Warm congratulations to the winners, a huge thanks to the builders and organizers on the site and thanks to all for donating in this Antiquity charity week!
